Rainbow Paper Science experiment


Rainbow Paper

Aim To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials 
Water based felt pens
Filter paper
Plastic cup
Water
Pencil
Ruler

Steps
1. Get in a group of 2 or 3
2. Get some filter paper
3. Get water based felt pens
4. Draw two dots on the filter paper with pencil and use a ruler
5. Then draw the dots with the pens
6. Get a plastic cup
7. Fill the cup with water
8. Set the paper in the cup 

Conclusion
What have I learnt from this experiment?

I learnt that when you put colours on a filter paper and soak it in water the colour go's to the other side and makes a rainbow.
I learnt that the colour on the paper travels at different speeds 
I also found out you can figure out DNA fingerprints/footprints.
I found that you can use the paper to figure out who forgery that wasn't that person.
